1. What is inlcuded in the tickets for fishing trips?

Each ticked includes a rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license coverage.

 
2. Do I need to buy a fishing license?

If you are going out on the New Inlet Princess or on one of the private charter fishing boats you do not need to purchase your own fishing license. These trips include fishing license coverage. However, if you are renting one of our skiffs or pontoons and plan on fishing then you DO need to purchase your own saltwater fishing license. You can purchase your license by calling SC DNR at 1-866-714-3611 or visiting their website, www.dnr.sc.gov, or you can purchase your saltwater fishing license at Walmart.

 

3. Do I get my ticket when I finish making my reservation?

No. When you finish making your reservation online, in person, or over the phone you will receive a confirmation email and a receipt. You do not receive your ticket(s) until after you have checked in the day of the trip.

 

4. Is there a fish cleaning service provided?

Yes, but only for the fishing boats. For the private fishing charters the captains will clean your fish for no additional charge. For the head boat the crew will clean your fish for tips after a Half Day Trip and they will clean your fish for $0.85 per pound after a 3/4 Day Trip and All Day Trip. There is no fish cleaning service for any fish caught on a rental boat. 

 

5. Who is the "Crazy Sister"?

All of the employees are a little crazy.

 

6. Can I swim with the dolphins?

Dolphins are protected by the U.S. Marina Mammal Protection Act. It is stricktly prohibited by law to swim with, feed, touch, or harass dolphins. However, we can get you an upclose experience with these wild creatures on our dolphin tour.

 

7. When do I check in?

We require everyone for ALL activities to arrive an hour before the trip is scheduled to depart. We need to have everyone come up to the marina office in order to check in and receive their ticket(s).

 

8. Can I cancel my reservation?

There is a 48 hour cancellation policy in which you have up until 48 hours prior to the trip's scheduled departure to cancel your reservation and receive a full refund or reschedule your trip. Once you are within the 48 hour period you are locked in to your reservation and are unable to receive a refund or reschedule. If you fail to show up for your trip, your card will still be charged. This EXCLUDES all private charters and groups of 20 people or more. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking for all private charters and groups of 20 people or more.

 

9. Do I have to pay for parking?

No. Parking for all Crazy Sister Marina customers is always free. Upon entering the parking lot please inform the parking attendant that you are participating in one of the activities at the marina.

 

10. Do the trips still go out if it is raining?

Yes. The trips will still run if it is raining. However, trips may be cancelled at the discretion of our Coast Guard certified captains if they feel is it unsafe and/or the sea conditions are too rough. If a cancellation were to occur due to weather reservations would have the option to be rescheduled or refunded in full.
